Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has received endorsements from youth leaders in Idjerhe, Mosogar and Oghara kingdoms in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, as political consultations gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsements came on Friday, October 16, 2026, during a consultation tour of the three kingdoms, where youth leaders and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders pledged their support for Dafinone and other party candidates.
The senator was accompanied by the Delta Central APC chairman, Chief Paulinus Akpeki; Chief Adelabu Bodjor; Hon. Austine Ayemidejor; former Sapele Local Government Council chairman, Chief Eugene Inoaghan; and APC candidate for Sapele State Constituency II, Hon. Ejiro Jamani, among other party leaders.
Dafinone’s first stop was the residence of former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Halims Agoda, a prominent APC leader in Idjerhe Kingdom. The meeting attracted several political stakeholders, including Anthony Akpomiemie, APC candidate for Ethiope West State Constituency I, Hon. Nelson Owoso, and Ethiope West Council chairman, Hon. Christian Onogba.
Speaking on behalf of Idjerhe youths, their president, Comrade Desmond Emoefe Agbigbe, declared their support for the senator while drawing attention to challenges confronting the kingdom. He urged Dafinone to prioritise the community’s concerns in his legislative engagements and future plans. Agoda and other leaders also expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects in the 2027 elections, describing the party’s anticipated victory as a settled matter.
The consultation train subsequently moved to Mosogar, where former Delta State senator, Chief Ighoyota Amori, received Dafinone and his entourage alongside other community leaders, including Chief Solomon Obareki. Mosogar youth president, Hon. Oki Eboigbe, also pledged the support of the kingdom’s youths for the senator, adding to the endorsements secured during the tour.
Amori, in his remarks, expressed support for Dafinone and other APC candidates, including President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. His declaration reinforced the message of party unity conveyed by political stakeholders during the meeting.
In Oghara, the delegation visited the residence of former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori, where they were received by former Ethiope West council chairman, Chief Solomon Golley. Addressing Dafinone on behalf of Oghara youths, community youth chairman Comrade Monday Omomedia expressed confidence in the APC’s electoral prospects, declaring that the opposition would face a difficult challenge in the kingdom.
Golley also pledged that Oghara would deliver substantial electoral support for Dafinone and other APC candidates in 2027, adding to assurances given by leaders in Idjerhe and Mosogar.
Speaking across the three communities, Delta Central APC chairman Akpeki thanked the hosts for their reception and introduced Dafinone, who expressed appreciation for the support shown to him and the party. The senator urged constituents to vote for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, assuring them that the party would work towards fulfilling its promises.
The endorsements highlight the APC’s efforts to consolidate its grassroots support in Ethiope West ahead of the 2027 elections. However, the declarations by community and youth leaders represent political commitments rather than a measure of how residents will ultimately vote.
